The Supreme Court Criminal Division director finalized five important criminal cases during his travels to Kunduz province

Under the special guidance of Shaikh Abdul Hakim "Haqani, the chief justice of the supreme court, the head of the criminal division of the supreme court, Mufti Atiqullah "Darwish,” who was accompanied by Mufti Abdul Hai "Shaker,” traveled to Kunduz province and resolved some criminal cases, dated 22/2/1446 A.H.

During this two-days visit, the head of the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court resolved five criminal cases, most of which involved murder cases.

During the travel, Mufti Atiqullah “Darwish” met with Kunduz’s primary and appellate court judicial members and guided some important related issues.
For the better understanding and solution of the cases in sharia rules the head of the criminal division of the supreme court guided some important issues to the judicial members and added; courts are the important organs in Islamic Systems the main responsibilities are to ensure justice, punish criminals according to Sharia principles, and to hand over rights to those who are entitled to them.
He added, the courts are completely independent in their decisions; Therefore, the officials of the courts should make decisions according to the Sharia and not come under direct or indirect pressure from anyone.
Then he met with both parties of the criminal cases and conducted a complete investigation on them.

In addition, the Honorable Mufti Atiqullah “Darwish” met with the Governor of Kunduz Province, and other officials, and for enhancing the administrative coordination activities with other provincial institutions, he gave beneficial instructions and guided them to reach client cases on time.
The provincial institutions officials assured they would cooperate with each other in case of need in order to solve the problems of the people and provide the best services to the citizens.

It’s worth mentioning that the Supreme Court criminal division director traveled to the other provinces also for the solution of the criminal cases.
